In his letter, Dmitry tells the story of his life in which he constantly needs to show courage to support his mother and younger sister. As his father died when Dmitry was little, he became the only man in the family, and they really need him. Their life is hard, but the good atmosphere in the family helps them. Dmitry always helps his mom and often repeats: “I am a man, I can take it.”

Dmitry easily mixed with other children at Artek. Kind and always ready to help counselors and friends, Dmitry became one of the top five active children in his group.
“During the Young Geologist classes, I built a collection of minerals and made a sea-stone pendant which will remind me of Artek. This camp is a place where you can spend a whole day being happy and not get sad, not even once. I don’t know the person who helped me to get here and made me so happy, but I want to thank that person and wish him happiness and good health. My dream has come true. What else could I dream of? Perhaps, of coming back to Artek once again!” tells Dmitry.
